MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - The Keystone College softball team dropped an 11-3 decision in five innings to Concordia (Texas) on Thursday to conclude the Giants' spring break trip.
Keystone (1-5) returns north to play at Wilkes on Wednesday, March 22. Concordia improves to 12-6.
The Giants earned a 2-1 lead after the second inning but the Tornados responded with two in the bottom of the third and ended the contest by scoring eight in the bottom of the fifth. Concordia outhit Keystone 10-5.
Angelina Morley (Deposit, N.Y./Deposit) finished 2-for-2 while Amber Stansfield (Levittown, Pa./Conwell-Egan Catholic) went 1-for-2 with three RBI, including a two-run double in the second.
Clare Johns (Skippack, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) earned the start and struck out three, with six groundouts and three flyouts. Stansfield appeared in relief.
