PATERSON, N.J. - The Keystone College baseball dropped a 6-5 decision at William Paterson University via a walk-off home run on Thursday afternoon.
The Giants fall to 6-7 and will head to Misericordia University on Sunday, March 26 at 2 p.m. The Pioneers improve to 9-5.
Keystone tallied 11 hits on the day, as Bobby Pokorney (Margate, Fla./J.P. Taravella) went 3-for-4 with one run scored. Julio Acosta (Elizabeth, N.J./Hudson Catholic) finished 2-for-5 with an RBI double in the sixth.
Anthony Raimo (Albany, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy) stayed red hot, going 2-for-3 with three runs scored and two walks. Chris Hadsall (Lehman, Pa./Lake Lehman) launched a game-tying solo homer to center in the ninth to knot the contest at 5-5.
Josh Parks (Maple Valley, Wash./Tahoma), Jason Thomas (Miami, Fla./Barbara Goleman), and Griffin Yastremski (Bath, N.Y./Haverling) all notched base knocks.
Nathan Hinkley (Bradenton, Fla./Saint Lucie West Centennial) earned the start, tossing the first six innings with two strikeouts, nine flyouts and six groundouts on 85 pitches. Brandon Valles (Toms River, N.J./Toms River North) and Logan Lixie (Tamarac, Fla./J.P. Taravella) appeared in relief.
With one out in the bottom of the ninth, Carson Weis launched a solo shot over the left field fence, his second of the season.
