DALLAS, Pa. - Despite outhitting the host Cougars 14-10, the Keystone College baseball team dropped a 10-7 non-conference decision at Misericordia University on Sunday afternoon.
The Giants drop to 6-8 and will travel to Montclair State on Wednesday, March 29. The Cougars improve to 15-5 on the year.
Griffin Yastremski (Bath, N.Y./Haverling) paced the offense with a 3-for-5 day, driving in two runs while scoring two. Yastremski blasted a solo shot to center in the top of the ninth.
Jason Thomas (Miami, Fla./Barbara Goleman), Robert Estrada (Jersey City, N.J./Ferris), Giovanni Diaz (Bronx, N.Y./Christopher Columbus), and Chris Hadsall (Lehman, Pa./Lake Lehman) all had two hits with Estrada scoring twice. Bobby Pokorney (Margate, Fla./J.P. Taravella), Anthony Raimo (Albany, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy), and Josh Parks (Maple Valley, Wash./Tahoma) all drove in one run.
Brayan Villar (West Orange, N.J./Belleville) earned the start and tossed three innings. Jordan Art (Greenfield Township, Pa./Lakeland), Dominic Verrastro (Scott Township, Pa./Lakeland), Drew Sorrentino (Schnecksville, Pa./Parkland), and Anthony Mierez (Granby, Conn./Rockville) appeared in relief.
