RADNOR, Pa. – The Keystone College softball team dropped a doubleheader at Cabrini University in non-conference action on Thursday, falling to the Cavaliers 9-0 and 12-1, both in five innings.
The Giants (1-9) open up CSAC play at Rosemont College tomorrow at 4 p.m. The Cavaliers improve to 10-7 on the year.
Game One: Cabrini 9, Keystone 0 (5 innings)
Brooke Staple (Carbondale, Pa./Carbondale Area) finished 2-for-2 with a double while Jordan Frye (Cheltenham, Pa./St. Hubert Catholic) and Elle Olivero (Levittown, Pa./Harry S. Truman) provided base knocks. Courtney Cienki (West Milford, N.J./West Milford) drew two walks.
Cienki pitched three innings and struck out three. Amber Stansfield (Levittown, Pa./Conwell-Egan Catholic) appeared in relief.
Game Two: Cabrini 12, Keystone 1 (5 innings)
Staple and Mallory Perkins (Norwalk, OH/Edison) notched doubles, Hanaje Riley (Allentown, Pa./William Allen) went 2-for-2 and Alyssa Booth (Holland, Pa./Council Rock North) tallied the lone run.
Elle Olivero (Levittown, Pa./Harry S. Truman) drove in one run while Isabella Benitez (East Windsor, N.J./Hightstown) provided one hit.
Clare Johns (Skippack, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) struck out three in three innings while Stansfield struck out two.
