LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College baseball team took both games of the doubleheader in their home opener 5-4 in game one and 21-1 in game two Saturday afternoon in CSAC action.
With the sweep, Keystone moves to 10-9 (3-0 CSAC). Clarks Summit falls to 4-15 (0-3 CSAC).
Game One: Keystone 5, Clarks Summit 4
Robert Estrada (Jersey City, N.J./Ferris), Griffin Yastremski (Bath, N.Y./Haverling), and Josh Parks (Maple Valley, Wash./Tahoma) both went 2-for-3 in game one. Greg Verano (Raritan, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan), Chris Hadsall (Lehman, Pa./Lake Lehman), Bobby Pokorney (Margate, Fla./J.P. Taravella), Julio Acosta (Elizabeth, N.J./Hudson Catholic), and Jason Thomas (Miami, Fla./Barbara Goleman) also contributed with base knocks.
Brayan Villar (West Orange, N.J./Belleville) earned the start and the win as he went five innings with seven strikeouts. Logan Lixie (Tamarac, Fla./J.P. Taravella) pitched two innings of relief as he allowed no hits and two strikeouts for his second save of the season.
The Defenders jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first and tallied another run in the fourth. Keystone scored one run in the first and third inning and used a two-run fourth inning as well as an additional run in the fifth to secure the victory.
Game Two: Keystone 21, Clarks Summit 1
Game two was a different story for the Giants as they exploded for 21 runs in the second game. The team used a nine-run third inning to help put this game on ice.
Anthony Raimo (Albany, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy) contributed with two hits and three RBI. Estrada and Giovanni Diaz (Bronx, N.Y./Christopher Columbus) both enjoyed two hits as well.
Yastremski was the winning pitcher in game two as he went three innings, five hits, one run, and three strikeouts. Anthony Mierez (Granby, Conn./Rockville), Slothing Che (Santo Domingo, D.R./Instituto Tecnologico Fabio Amable Mota), Cam Hale (Covington, Wash./Kentridge), and Jacob Shaw (Virginia Beach, Va./Ocean Lakes) all appeared for an inning of relief.

Keystone will host Rutgers-Camden on Tuesday, April 4 at 3:30 P.M. Clarks Summit will face Marywood University on the same day at 7 p.m.
