CHAMBERSBURG, Pa.- The Keystone College baseball team saw its seven-game win streak snapped as they fell on the road to CSAC foe Wilson College 17-10 Friday afternoon in CSAC action.
With the loss, the Giants fall to 17-11 (9-1 CSAC) while the Phoenix go to 24-5 (9-1 CSAC).
Justin Mann (St. John's, Fla./Bartram Trail) enjoyed a solid hitting performance as he went 3-for-4 with one RBI. Robert Estrada (Jersey City, N.J./Ferris) went 1 for-5 with three RBI which was highlighted by a two-run triple to right-center. Jason Thomas (Miami, Fla./Barbara Goleman) also went 1-for-5 with a solo home run. He wrapped up the game with two RBI.
Jordan Art (Greenfield Township, Pa./Lakeland) got the start on the mound as he went four innings with one walk. The senior right-hander forced eight fly outs and four groundouts.
Slothing Che (Santo Domingo, D.R./Instituto Tecnologico Fabio Amable Mota), Logan Lixie (Tamarac, Fla./J.P. Taravella), Julian Gonzalez (Bayonne, N.J./Bayonne), Ryan Oka (Auburn, Wash./Jefferson), and Kevin Adamson (Vienna, Va./Paul VI Catholic) appeared in relief for the Giants. Adamson struck out two in his outing.
Wilson took the lead early in the contest as they led 2-0 after two innings. Keystone was able to regain as they scored three runs in the fifth inning. That lead would not last for long as the Phoenix bats got hot at the right time as they scored a combined 15 runs in the fifth inning through eighth inning to put the game away.
Keystone and Wilson will square off tomorrow afternoon at Christy Mathewson Field for a CSAC doubleheader beginning at 12 p.m.
