MADISON, N.J. - The Keystone College baseball team used five home runs to defeat St. Elizabeth University 20-8 in CSAC action on Friday afternoon.
The Giants (22-11, 12-1 CSAC) have now won 12 of 13 games and will return home to host SEU tomorrow in a doubleheader starting at 12 p.m. The Eagles fall to 13-20 (7-6 CSAC).
Keystone plated five runs in the first and seventh innings, outhitting SEU 20-11 along the way.
Bobby Pokorney (Margate, Fla./J.P. Taravella) finished 3-for-5 with two homers and five RBI. Giovanni Diaz (Bronx, N.Y./Christopher Columbus) went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and four RBI.
Greg Verano (Raritan, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) tallied four hits with three RBI while Jason Thomas (Miami, Fla./Barbara Goleman), Josh Parks (Maple Valley, Wash./Tahoma) and Chris Hadsall (Lehman, Pa./Lake Lehman) all drove in two runs each. Anthony Raimo (Albany, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy) enjoyed a 4-for-4 outing.
Thomas and Parks launched homers.
Jordan Art (Greenfield Township, Pa./Lakeland) earned his fourth win of the spring, going six innings with four strikeouts, 10 flyouts and two groundouts. Nick Termini (Clarks Summit, Pa./Abington Heights), Kade Compeau (Bentley, Mich./Pinconning), Kevin Murphy (Montgomery, N.Y./Valley Central), and Will Rodriguez (Deland, Fla./Deland) appeared in relief.
