OSWEGO, N.Y.- The Keystone College field hockey team suffered their first defeat of the 2023 season as they fell on the road to Oswego St. 2-0 Wednesday afternoon at the Lakers Turf Stadium.
Keystone drops to 2-1 while Oswego improves to 2-4.
Hannah Osbahr (Old Bridge, N.J./Old Bridge) made twos saves in the cage for Keystone. Angelina Morley (Deposit, N.Y./Deposit) made one defensive save. For Oswego, Nancy Pagliaroli scored the first goal of the game ten minutes in. Kaitlyn Jordan added an insurance goal with about three minutes left to give the Lakers the victory. Jordan and Natalie Shields had one assist.
Keystone outshot Oswego, 10-5 and had a 15-3 advantage on penalty corners. Lucia Cisilino (Tandil, Buenos Aires, Argentina/San Jose) led Keystone with four shots.
The Giants will return for their home opener Saturday night, Sept. 16 against Utica University at 6 p.m. The Lakers will remain home to face St. Lawrence University on the same day. Â
