LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College field hockey team blanked Utica University 4-0 in the team's home opener Saturday evening at the Keystone College Turf Field.

Keystone moves to 3-1 and Utica drops to 1-5.

Vicky Mainero (Francisco Alvarez, Buenos Aires, Argentina/St. Patrick's College) had a hat trick as she tallied the first two goals of the contest and added another goal late in the third quarter. Maria Tomada (Buenos Aires, Argentina/San Vicente de Paul) added a goal for Keystone. Tomada, Miranda Mascia (Blakeslee, Pa./Pocono Mountain West), and Angelina Morley (Deposit, N.Y./Deposit) each had an assist. Casey Stratton (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) and Hannah Osbahr (Old Bridge, N.J./Old Bridge) both appeared in goal and combined for four saves.

Keystone outshot Utica, 12-10. Both teams finished with seven penalty corners in the match. There was one green card was given out.

Keystone will remain home to face Marywood University on Monday, Sept. 18 at 6 p.m. Utica hosts St. Lawrence University on Tuesday, Sept. 19 at 6 p.m.
