LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College field hockey team lost at home to Marywood University 5-1 Monday evening at the Keystone College Turf Field.
Keystone drops to 3-2 while Marywood improves to 3-2.
Maria Tomada (Buenos Aires, Argentina/San Vicente de Paul) tallied the lone goal for Keystone in the third quarter off of a pass from Vicky Mainero (Francisco Alvarez, Buenos Aires, Argentina/St. Patrick's College). Hannah Osbhar and Casey Stratton (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) both appeared in the cage and combined for three saves.
For Marywood, Dariane Jones notched a hat trick with two first quarter goals and one in the third. She also had one assist on the night. Lauren Youngken scored twice and recorded an assist. Cydney Lahr, Cassie Slusser, and Brie Sumner added an assist.
The Pacers outshot the Giants, 12-7, and posted a 12-3 advantage on penalty corners. Maywood limited Keystone to one shot in the entire second half.
Keystone is back in action on Saturday, Sept. 23 at Gwynedd Mercy University for a 1 p.m. matchup with the Griffins. Marywood heads down Interstate 81 to face King's College (Pa.) on Thursday, Sept. 21 at 7 p.m.
