Women’s Soccer Defeated by Rosemont in United East Opener

ROSEMONT, Pa.- The Keystone College women's soccer team opened United East Conference play with a 5-0 loss to Rosemont College Monday afternoon.

With the loss, Keystone goes to 1-5 (0-1 United East). Rosemont picks up their first win of the season and improves to 1-7 (1-0 United East).

Goalkeeper Annie Metzger (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg Area) recorded eight saves in the conference opener. There were five different goal scorers for the Ravens as Avery Buniak, Kassidy Phillips, Mia Rafter, Cassidy Smith, and Danielle DiMarco provided goals for Rosemont. Rema Kotsedakis posted a match high with two assists. Buniak, Smith, Maggie Feaser, Sarah Warner, and Chelsea Seidman had one assist.

Rosemont outshot Keystone 22-6. The Giants had only one shot on goal. Hailey Dunham (Southgate, Mich./Inter-City Baptist) led Keystone with four shots. The Ravens recorded eight corner kicks in the contest.

Keystone will wrap up their nonconference schedule on Wednesday, Sept. 27 when they host Penn College in a United East crossover primetime matchup at 7 p.m.
