Giants Suffers Narrow Loss to Pioneers

LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College men's soccer team suffered a 3-1 loss to William Paterson University Wednesday evening at the Keystone College Turf Field.

Keystone drops to 0-3 and William Paterson remains undefeated at 3-0.

Trevor Lagarde (Monroe, N.Y./Monroe-Woodbury) scored the lone goal for Keystone off of a penalty kick in the 75th minute. Hector Camaja Jr. (Palisades Park, N.J./Palisades Park) and Dominic Weber (Martinsburg, W.V./Spring Mills) combined for five saves.

For the visiting Pioneers, Diego Navas scored the first goal of the contest from a header in the 31st minute. William Paterson added two insurance goals in the second half by Jonathan Cardona in the 75th minute and Chimjae Mukanda in the 83rd minute.

William Paterson outshot Keystone, 15-5. CJ Lampert (Linden, N.J./St. Benedict's Prep) led Keystone with three shots. In addition, the Pioneers had a 4-2 lead on corner kicks.

The Giants will hit the road for the first time this season as they face Centenary University on Saturday, Sept. 9 at 4 p.m. William Paterson will travel to Haverford College on the same day at 12 p.m.
