MORRISTOWN, NJ – Keystone women's basketball suffered a 62-44 loss on Thursday evening while taking on the Eagles of Saint Elizabeth University.
Malaysia Bryant (Harlem, N.Y./Thurgood Marshall), Bry Hicks (Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster Catholic), and Madison Reeves (Somerset, N.J./Immaculata) each put up 8 points for Keystone, tying as the team's leading point scorers for the evening. Defensively, Bry Hicks (Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster Catholic) led the team with 8 defensive rebounds, 2 blocks, and 2 steals.
For Saint Elizabeth, Destiny Battle ended the night with an impressive 22 points while adding 7 assists to the team's totals. Destiny also contributed 5 steals to the Eagles' defensive efforts, while Laila Kendle led the way on defense with 10 defensive rebounds, 1 block, and 1 steal.
After tonight's game, Keystone College falls to 4-9 overall and 3-4 in the United East Conference. Saint Elizabeth improves to 11-3 overall and 6-1 in the conference.
The Giants will be on the road again for a 1:00 PM matchup in Baltimore, Maryland on Saturday (Jan 13) as they take on another conference opponent, Notre Dame of Maryland.
