BALTIMORE, Md.- The Keystone College women's basketball fell to Notre Dame of Maryland University 79-63 Saturday afternoon in conference action.
With the loss, Keystone goes to 5-10 (3-5 United East Skye Division). Notre Dame moves to 11-4 (8-0 United East Skye Division).
Riley Berry (Margate, Fla./Piper) and Anyah Ortiz (Reading, Pa./Governor Mifflin) both scored a game high 15 points. The two combined for eight assists and four steals in the defeat. Bry Hicks (Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster Catholic) finished with 12 points and eight rebounds. Malaysia Bryant (Harlem, N.Y./Thurgood Marshall) tallied seven points and five rebounds off the bench.
Notre Dame was led by Armani Watts who concluded the conference contest with a double-double as she had 28 points, 11 rebounds, and four steals. She shot 70 percent from the field. Hillary Howard added 18 points with eight rebounds. Amya Durham and Alexis Jones combined for 24 points. Durham was one assist shy of a double-double.
The Giants shot approximately 38 percent from the field. Meanwhile, the Gator shot 48 percent. Notre Dame outrebounded Keystone, 45-39.
Keystone will remain on the road as they go up against Cedar Crest College on Wednesday, Jan. 17 at 7 p.m.
