LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College women's basketball team snapped their four-game losing streak with a 70-59 win against Cedar Crest College Saturday afternoon.
Keystone improves to 6-11 (4-6 United East Skye Division). Cedar Crest drops to 7-7 (6-5 United East Skye Division).
Bry Hicks (Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster Catholic) provided a game high 15 points off the bench. In addition, she had eight rebounds and three blocks. Riley Berry (Margate, Fla./Piper) and Kameryn Cortinas (Los Banos, Calif./Pacheco) combined for 26 points. Cortinas added five rebounds. Malaysia Bryant (Harlem, N.Y./Thurgood Marshall) scored 11 points with four steals.
Cedar Crest's Caylie Long was once again the squad's leading scorer with 23 points and six rebounds. Nicole Sachman recorded a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Megan Perrine compiled 10 points and five rebounds.
Up 30-28 at half, the Giants made significant second half adjustments and outscored the Falcons 40-32 in the final half. Keystone shot 39 percent from the field and almost 91 percent from the free throw line.
Keystone hosts Clarks Summit University on Tuesday, Jan. 23 at 6 p.m.
