WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.- The Keystone College women's volleyball team got back in the win column as they earned a three-set sweep of Penn College (25-13, 25-14, and 25-12) Tuesday evening.
Keystone improves to 16-3 (4-1 United East), and Penn College will drop to 3-17 (1-5 United East).
Taylor Hallam (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin East) posted seven kills, five service aces, five total blocks (two solo and three assists), and five digs. She led the team in points with 15.5. Kaliyah Brown (Maricopa, Ariz./Sequoia Pathway Academy) also had seven kills to go along with five block assists. Catie Woolf (Fremont, Ohio/Saint Joseph Central Catholic) and Elise Burk (Paw Paw, Mich./Paw Paw) combined for 28 digs while Burk had a match high of 11 assists. Taylor Howard (Lewisberry, Pa./Red Land) recorded four total blocks (one solo and three assists).
For the host Wildcats, Hailey DeBrody almost recorded a double-double with eight kills and 12 digs. Jo Hess contributed a dozen assists and eight digs.
The Giants return to Gambal Saturday night, Oct. 19 as they welcome Notre Dame of Maryland University at 6 p.m. The squad will honor their three seniors prior to the contest.
