Field Hockey Victorious Over Kean in Regular Season Finale

LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College field hockey team enjoyed a 2-1 win over Kean University Tuesday evening in the team's regular season finale.

Keystone moves to 8-7 with Kean dropping to 6-11.

The Cougars got on the board first with a goal by Shannon Conroy with an assist by Jazmyn Frack. The Giants responded with two unanswered goals as Breanna Landers (Matawan, N.J./Matawan Regional) found Jordan Vandermark (Hackettstown, N.J./Hackettstown) late in the first quarter for the equalizer. Vicky Mainero (Francisco Alvarez, Buenos Aires, Argentina/St. Patrick's College) gave Keystone the lead with a penalty stroke in the second quarter.

Defensively, Hannah Osbahr (Old Bridge, N.J./Old Bridge) was busy in the cage as she made 10 saves in the victory. Kean's goalkeeper Daniella Maresca made two.

Kean outshot Keystone, 15-10. However, Keystone held a 6-4 margin on penalty corners. Two green cards were issued in the contest.

The Giants will now gear up for the United East Conference Tournament which starts this weekend. Keystone clinched the three seed and will face No. 2 seed Wilson College in the conference semifinals on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 4 p.m.
