CHAMSBERSBURG, Pa.- The Keystone College men's soccer team got back in the win column as they defeated Wilson College 1-0 Tuesday afternoon.
The Giants improve to 2-9-1 (1-2-1 United East) while Wilson falls to 5-8 (1-3 United East).
Taylor Hammons (Oklahoma City, Okla./Bishop McGuiness) scored the only goal in the match in the 44th minute off an assist from Clay Nickles (Benton, Pa./Benton). Goalkeeper Landon Keller (Provo, Utah/Timpview) posted a clean sheet as he made seven saves in the win.
The Phoenix posted a 13-11 margin on shots. However, the Giants held a 7-1 advantage on corner kicks. Three yellow cards were given in the match.
Keystone will be back home to host Gallaudet University on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 1 p.m. This match will also be Senior Day as the program will honor its six seniors prior to the match.
