LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College women's basketball team picked up a dominant 88-54 win over Penn State Wilkes-Barre Tuesday evening in the Gambal Athletic Center.
The Giants improve to 2-0 while Penn State Wilkes-Barre drops to 1-1.
Bry Hicks (Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster Catholic) led the team with 16 points, six rebounds, and three steals. Madison Reeves (Somerset, N.J./Immaculata) provided 13 points and Anyah Ortiz (Reading, Pa./Governor Mifflin) contributed with 12 points off the bench. Lisa Star (Wanaque, N.J./Lakeland Regional) had a game high 15 rebounds along with four blocks.
For the Nittany Lions, Karma Paez was the only player who finished with double-digit points as she scored 28 points with three rebounds and two assists.
Keystone held a 58-45 margin on rebounds. The team shot 26 percent from the field and 38 percent behind the three-point line. The biggest story of the contest was fouls as there was a combined 61 fouls called in this evening's game.
The Giants will remain as they host their inaugural tip-off tournament this weekend. Keystone will face Keuka College on Saturday, Nov. 15 at 6 p.m. They will face either Centenary University (N.J) or Spalding University the following day.
