SCRANTON, Pa.- The Keystone College wrestling team competed in the Electric City Duals Sunday morning hosted by the University of Scranton.
The Giants picked up a win at the event as they defeated Rowan College 36-12 for their first win of the season.
In the bout with Rowan, Mariano Monacelli (Scranton, Pa./Scranton) picked up a 17-13 major decision win against Jayden Mora at 174 pounds while Rocco Arduini (Harpursville, N.Y./Harpursville) claimed a 5-2 decision victory at 285 pounds versus Luciano Mazzeo.
Nero Bono (Southboro, Mass./Assabet Valley) secured two wins by tech fall at 285 pounds as he knocked off Max Shnipes of Scranton's A Team (17-2) and KahaJen Smith of Elmira (17-1). James Craig (Harpursville, N.Y./Harpursville) finished with two wins by fall at the 197 pound weight class as he prevailed against Alex Kapacs of Pitt.-Bradford and Joseph Epright of Scranton's B Team.
Codi Bomboy (Montrose, Pa./Elk Lake) contributed with a win at 157 pounds as he knocked off Pitt.-Bradford's Raymnond Worsen by decision, 11-5.
Keystone will compete in a dual meet at Misericordia University on Friday, Nov. 22 at 7 p.m.
