LA PLUME, PA- Keystone College has announced the hiring of Tyshawn White as the new head coach of the Giants men's and women's wrestling programs.

White brings experience at the NCAA Division II, Division III, and NAIA levels, along with a strong background in recruiting, athlete development, and program building. Most recently, White served as the head women's wrestling coach and event coordinator at Bismarck State College, where he built the school's first-year women's wrestling program into an immediate national contender.

In his lone season at Bismarck State, White assembled a roster of 15 student-athletes, including 13 incoming recruits, and guided the program to three NAIA National Championship qualifiers across three different weight classes. Under his leadership, the Mystics produced two NAIA All-Americans with fourth and seventh-place finishes at the national championships while placing 20th overall in the team standings. White also coached three nationally ranked wrestlers during the program's inaugural season.

Prior to Bismarck State, White served as the head men's and women's wrestling coach at Penn State Altoona, overseeing all aspects of both programs, including recruiting, scheduling, athlete development, and academic progress.

White also spent time as an assistant wrestling coach at Chadron State College, helping the Eagles capture the 2024 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championship and a second-place finish at the NCAA Super Region Tournament. Earlier in his coaching career, he worked as an assistant wrestling coach and RTC coach at Messiah University.

As a competitor, White was an accomplished wrestler at Lock Haven University, earning NCAA Division II All-American honors in 2022 with a third-place finish at the national championships at 125 pounds. He was also the 2018 EWL Conference Champion and continues to train in freestyle competition with aspirations of qualifying for the World Team Trials.

"We're proud to welcome Coach White to Keystone as the Head Coach of our Men's and Women's Wrestling programs." said Athletic Director, Kacy Manning. "As a Pennsylvania native, he understands the tradition and toughness of wrestling in this region, and we're excited for the leadership, energy, and momentum he will bring to our program. We look forward to the impact he will have on our student-athletes, our campus community, and the future of Keystone College Wrestling."

With White now leading both programs, Keystone looks to continue building a competitive and student-focused culture within Giants wrestling. His experience developing programs, producing nationally recognized athletes, and mentoring student-athletes at multiple collegiate levels positions the Giants for continued growth heading into the 2026-27 season.

"I'm extremely excited and grateful for the opportunity to lead the Men's and Women's Wrestling programs at Keystone College." said Tyshawn White. "Coming back home to Pennsylvania means a lot to me personally, and I'm ready to build a culture based on hard work, accountability, and pride. My goal is to develop strong student-athletes on and off the mat while building a program the college and community can be proud of. I'm looking forward to getting to work with the team, staff, and everyone involved with Keystone Wrestling."
