SCRANTON, Pa. - The Keystone College men's basketball team closed out Marywood University's Electric City Classic with a 74-73 win over St. Joseph's University Brooklyn Saturday afternoon at Insalaco Arena.
Keystone moves to 2-3 with St. Joseph's falling to 1-4.
Boston Caldwell (Auckland, New Zealand/Westlake) tallied 15 points with three rebounds. Chris Ogden (Scranton, Pa./West Scranton) also scored 15 points while shooting 5-of-8 from three. Brandon Scott (Cheltenham, Pa./Cheltenham) was flirting with a triple-double as he contributed with 14 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, and three blocks. Daryl Coleman (Allentown, Pa./Southern Lehigh) and D'Andre Sutherland (Miramar, Fla./West Broward) were each a point away from a double-double as the duo combined for 18 points and 25 rebounds. Coleman was also named to the all-tournament team.
The Bears were led by Colin Mills who had 18 points. Maven Cummings chipped in with 12 points while Justin Nazon and Chris Williama had 11 and 10 points, respectively.
St. Joseph's Brooklyn held a narrow 36-33 lead at the end of the first half. Similar to last game, the Giants had a strong second half as they outscored the Bears 41-37 in the second half. The team shot close to 44 percent from the field in the win.
The Giants open United East Conference play on Tuesday, Nov. 26 at home against Penn State Harrisburg at 7:30 p.m.
