LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College men's basketball team opened United East Conference with a big 74-73 win over Penn State Harrisburg Tuesday evening in the Gambal Athletic Center.
Keystone moves to 3-3 (1-0 United East) while Harrisburg drops to 2-4 (0-1 United East).
Daryl Coleman (Allentown, Pa./Southern Lehigh) snagged a double-double with 21 points, 10 rebounds, and four blocks. Boston Caldwell (Auckland, New Zealand/Westlake) added 13 points, two rebounds, and two assists. Brandon Scott (Cheltenham, Pa./Cheltenham) flirted with a double-double as he also had 13 points and eight rebounds. Tyler Fox (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Cardinal Gibbons) and D'Andre Sutherland (Miramar, Fla./West Broward) combined for 25 points and six rebounds.
The Nittany Lions were led by Isiah Eggleston who scored 22 points wit five rebounds. Jordan Spencer tallied a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Isaiah Million and Mason Pulliam added 12 and 11 points, respectively. Lance Douglas added a game high eight assists.
Harrisburg held a commanding 39-28 lead at the break. The Giants would com alive as they outscored the Nittany Lions 46-34 in the second half. Keystone shot an even 50 percent from the field and approximately 77 percent from the free throw line.
The team will be back in action after Thanksgiving as they head to Wilkes-Barre to face Wilkes University on Saturday, Nov. 30 at 1 p.m. Both teams squared off recently on Nov. 13 where the Colonels came away with a 92-82 overtime win.
