WILKES-BARRE. Pa.- The Keystone College men's basketball team's three game win streak was snapped Saturday afternoon as they suffered a 90-67 defeat to Wilkes University.
With the loss, Keystone falls to 3-4 with Wilkes improving to 6-1. Both teams squared off earlier this month where Wilkes won that game in overtime, 92-82.
Tyler Fox (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Cardinal Gibbons) was the leading scorer for the Giants as he had 18 points with four rebounds. The sophomore guard shot close to 39 percent from the field and 60 percent from three-point range. Daryl Coleman (Allentown, Pa./Southern Lehigh) chipped in with 16 points, seven rebounds, and two assists. Both Boston Caldwell (Auckland, New Zealand/Westlake) and D'Andre Sutherland (Miramar, Fla./West Broward) finished with eight points.
The Colonels were led by Lucas Lesko who almost had a double-double with 31 points and eight rebounds. Jack Argento came away with 19 points and seven rebounds.
Wilkes held a 34-29 lead at the break. The Colonels would get hot in the second half as they outscored Keystone, 56-38. The Giants shot 38 percent and were outrebounded, 56-32.
Keystone will be back home as they resume United East Conference play against Saint Elizabeth University on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 7:30 p.m.
