DALLAS, Pa.- The Keystone College men's basketball team were defeated in their season opener 74-60 to Misericordia University Friday evening.
Keystone falls to 0-1 with Misericordia improving to 1-0.
Daryl Coleman (Allentown, Pa./Southern Lehigh) was a rebound away from a double-double as he finished the game with 18 points and nine rebounds. He shot 7-of-16 from the field. Boston Caldwell (Auckland, New Zealand/Westlake) added 14 points with three rebounds. D'Andre Sutherland (Miramar, Fla./West Broward) and Brandon Scott (Cheltenham, Pa./Cheltenham) combined for 18 points and 11 rebounds.
For the host Cougars, Matt Prociak notched a double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds while shooting 50 percent from the field. Kevin Lazdowsky and Eli Stoute provided 16 and 15 points, respectively.
Misericordia barely outrebounded the Giants, 42-37. Keystone shot an even 40 percent in the opening game of the 2024-2025 campaign.
Keystone will now prepare for their home opener next Wednesday, Nov. 13 as they host Wilkes University at 6 p.m.
