LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College men's lacrosse team opened the 2024 season on fire as they defeated SUNY Cobleskill 23-7 Saturday afternoon in the team's season opener.

With the win, Keystone moves to 1-0 while Cobleskill drops to 0-1. This is program's first victory since March 2017.

Tyler McManus (East Meadow, N.Y./East Meadow) led Keystone with seven goals and three ground balls. Cam Wallace (Okotoks, Alberta, Canada/Foothills Composite) and Able Wallace combined for 10 goals and five assists. Ryan Smith (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South) and Wilson Ingalls (Okotoks, Alberta, Canada/Holy Trinity Academy) chipped in with two goals while Joe Manfredo (Levittown, N.Y./General Douglas MacArthur) recorded one. Edwin Himmel-Maines (Fawn Grove, Pa./Kennard-Dale) and Nollan Hoffert (Simpsonville, S.C./J.L. Mann) both appeared in goal and combined for 11 saves. Timmy Fisher (Trevose, Pa./Neshaminy) and Ethan Urbanski (Huntsville, Ontario, Canada/Huntsville) both had four caused turnovers.

For Cobleskill, Aiden Sippio and Alex Baker both scored twice. Sean D'Amaro , Rhylee Kierst, and Trevor Masocco all had one.

Keystone heavily outshot Cobleskill, 58-33. They recorded 47 ground balls and had a 68 percent success rate on clear attempts.

The Giants will remain home as they host Albertus Magnus College on Wednesday, Feb. 28 at 4 p.m.
