AUBURNDALE, FL.- The Keystone College baseball team secured another victory in shut out fashion with a 9-0 win over University of Pitt.-Greensburg Monday afternoon.
Keystone moves to 4-4 while Pitt.-Greensburg drops to 1-7.
Robert Estrada (Maracay, Venezuela/Ferris), Andy Rivas (Bronx, N.Y./Academy for Language and Technology), and Chase Boyle (Millsboro, Del./Sussex Central) all had two base hits with one RBI. Nate Ewing (Jersey Shore, Pa./Jersey Shore Area) also contributed with two base hits. Justin Mann (St. John's, Fla./Bartram Trail) recorded an RBI base hit while Nicholas Franza (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Northeast) collected a two-RBI single.
Brayan Villar (West Orange, N.J./Belleville) picked up his first win of the season as he pitched five scoreless innings while allowing two hits with six strikeouts. Justice Ramirez (North Bergen, N.J./North Bergen), Julian Gonzalez (Bayonne, N.J./Bayonne), Aidan Pawlak (Brooklyn, N.Y./Millennium Brooklyn), and Matthew McElligott (Columbus, OH/Bishop Hartley) pitched an inning in relief and combined for eight strikeouts.
The Giants continue their Spring break trip on Thursday, Mar. 14 as they face Rutgers-Newark at 9 a.m.
