LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College men's lacrosse team picked up their third win of the season as they defeated Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts 17-9 Wednesday afternoon at the Keystone College Turf Field.
Keystone improves to 3-3 while MCLA drops to 0-4.
Cam Wallace (Okotoks, Alberta, Canada/Foothills Composite) finished with a game high four goals and five assists. Ryan Smith (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South), Austin Griffiths (Ponoka, Alberta, Canada/Ponoka Secondary Campus), and Chase Richardson (Wetaskiwin, Alberta, Canada/Wetaskiwin Comp) both recorded hat tricks. Wilson Ingalls (Okotoks, Alberta, Canada/Holy Trinity Academy) added two goals and Joe Manfredo (Levittown, N.Y./General Douglas MacArthur) and Abe Wallace (Okotoks, Alberta, Canada/Foothills Composite) chipped in with one. Cody Dembski (Agoura Hills, Calif./Agoura) won 20 faceoff attempts and notched 17 ground balls.
Defensively, Tyler Shertzer (Palmyra, Pa./Palmyra Area) caused four turnovers and had seven ground balls. Goalkeepers Edwin Himmel-Maines (Fawn Grove, Pa./Kennard-Dale) and Nollan Hoeffert appeared in goal with Himmel-Maines making 13 saves.
For the visiting Trailblazers, Nathan Haley scored a game high five goals. Anthon Andolina scored twice and Neal Brierley and Luke Rhoss had one.
Keystone held an 8-6 lead at halftime, but outscored MCLA 9-3 in the second half. They outshot their opponent, 79-49.
The Giants wrap up their four game homestand on Saturday, Mar. 16 against Lycoming College at 1 p.m.
