LA PLUME, Pa.- In a game consisting of 42 combined goals, the Keystone College men's lacrosse team came up short against Lycoming College 26-16 Saturday afternoon at the Keystone College Turf Field.
Keystone drops to 3-4 while Lycoming improves to 2-2.
Abe Wallace (Okotoks, Alberta, Canada/Foothills Composite) scored six goals with two assists. Ryan Smith (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South) tallied a hat trick and one assist. Cam Wallace (Okotoks, Alberta, Canada/Foothills Composite), Wilson Ingalls (Okotoks, Alberta, Canada/Holy Trinity Academy), and Austin Griffiths (Ponoka, Alberta, Canada/Ponoka Secondary Campus) scored two goals. Chase Richardson (Wetaskiwin, Alberta, Canada/Wetaskiwin Comp) added one. Ingalls and Tyler McManus (East Meadow, N.Y./East Meadow) added three assists. Cody Demski won 25 faceoffs off 33 attempts. He recorded 18 ground balls.
For Lycoming, Joey Hoover scored a game high seven goals. Troy Scozzafava notched six goals and seven assists. Andrew Ednie contributed with six goals and three assists. Defensively, Jakob Switzer had a good day as he had seven caused turnovers and 11 ground balls.
The Warriors narrowly outshot the Giants, 50-47. Keystone was 17-of-24 (71 percent) on clear attempts.
Keystone heads to Alvernia University on Tuesday, Mar. 19 at 4 p.m.
