DAVENPORT, Fla.- The Keystone College baseball team suffered a 3-1 loss to Ripon College Friday afternoon in the RussMatt Invitational.
Keystone now goes to 5-5 with Ripon improving to 3-7.
The Giants tallied a total of four hits in today's game as Bobby Pokorney (Margate, Fla./J.P. Taravella) recorded a triple and scored off an error from the Red Hawks left fielder in the seventh inning. Cooper Fesh (Bethel, Conn./Bethel), Jacob Yager (Grahamsville, N.Y./Tri-Valley), and Robert Estrada (Maracay, Venezuela/Ferris) also had a base hit in today's game.
Kyle Caringi (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport Area) got the start and went 5.1 innings with seven strikeouts. He gave up seven hits and three earned runs. Cam Hale (Covington, Wash./Kentridge) pitched a scoreless 3.2 innings in relief as he only allowed two hits and struck out four.
Keystone concludes their Spring Break trip tomorrow as the team will play two games. The squad will go up against Gwynedd Mercy University at 9:15 a.m. followed by a 12:30 p.m. matchup with Muhlenberg College.
