READING, Pa.- The Keystone College men's lacrosse team fell on the road to Alvernia University 15-4 Wednesday afternoon.
With the loss, Keystone drops to 3-5. Alvernia moves to 3-3.
Cam Wallace (Okotoks, Alberta, Canada/Foothills Composite) added two goals for the Giants as well as two caused turnovers. Ryan Smith (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South) and Abe Wallace (Okotoks, Alberta, Canada/Foothills Composite) both scored once. Wilson Ingalls (Okotoks, Alberta, Canada/Holy Trinity Academy) and Chris Armas (Vancouver, Wash./Mountain View) tallied one assist each. Armas and Cody Dembski (Agoura Hills, Calif./Agoura) combined for 12 faceoff wins.
Alvernia's Ethan McManus led the Golden Wolves with a game high four goals. Ryan Gilman contributed with a hat trick and four assists. Peter Capasso scored twice and dished out an assist. Christian Wright had a big defensive game as he caused five turnovers and recorded nine ground balls.
Alvernia posted a 45-35 margin on shots. They also won the ground ball battle, 40-30. The Giants were 71 percent (20-of-28) on clear attempts.
Keystone will travel to Farmingdale State College on Thursday, Mar. 21. Game time is slated for 3 p.m.
