LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College men's lacrosse team moves to 3-0 in the conference with a 19-8 win over Rosemont College Saturday afternoon.
Keystone moves to 6-7 (3-0 United East) while Rosemont falls 1-9 (0-3 United East).
Prior to today's game the men's lacrosse team honored its six seniors: Noel Gonzalez (Westminster, Colo./Westminster), Josh Kovaleski (Jermyn, Pa./Lakeland), Noah Lance (Scranton, Pa./Scranton/PA Cyber), Joe Manfredo (Levittown, N.Y./General Douglas MacArthur), Tyler McManus (East Meadow, N.Y./East Meadow), and Jameel Melton (Hershey, Pa./Hershey) in a pre-game senior day ceremony.
Abe Wallace (Okotoks, Alberta, Canada/Foothills Composite) led Keystone with five goals, one assist, and seven groundballs. Cam Wallace (Okotoks, Alberta, Canada/Foothills Composite) added four goals and three assists and Ryan Smith (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South) recorded a hat trick. Manfredo, McManus, Wilson Ingalls (Okotoks, Alberta, Canada/Holy Trinity Academy), Austin Griffiths (Ponoka, Alberta, Canada/Ponoka Secondary Campus), and Chase Richardson (Wetaskiwin, Alberta, Canada/Wetaskiwin Comp) notched one goal. Griffiths and Ingalls combined for nine assists. Edwin Himmel-Maines (Fawn Grove, Pa./Kennard-Dale) made 17 saves.
For the visiting Ravens, Navarro Blaes scored a game high four goals and added an assist to the scoresheet. Owen Kennedy chipped in with two goals.
With the game tied at three at the conclusion of the first half, Keystone went off as they outscored Rosemont 13-5 in the second half. The Giants held the Ravens scoreless in the third quarter. The Giants posted 73 shots in the conference clash.
Keystone hits the road next week as they face St. Mary's College of Maryland on Saturday, Apr. 20 at 1 p.m.
