LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College baseball team enjoyed a 4-3 come from behind win against Wilkes University Thursday afternoon at Christy Mathewson Field.
Keystone moves to 21-10 and Wilkes drops to 19-9.
Darren Hagan (Aston, Pa./Garnet Valley) and Miguel Silfa (Santo Domingo, D.R./Passaic Tech Institute) both had two hits on the afternoon. David Curreri (Beach Lake, Pa./Honesdale) and Sean Mindas (Toms River, N.J./Toms River North) had an RBI base knock. Mindas recorded the go ahead hit in the bottom of the seventh to give the Giants the victory.
Brandon Valles (Toms River, N.J./Toms River North) got the start and went four innings while striking out three batters. Ryan Oka (Auburn, Wash./Jefferson) appeared in relief and went 2.2 innings with one earned run and three strikeouts. Nick Gravel (Sidney, N.Y./Sidney) pitched 2.1 scoreless innings and struck out three batters. He allowed only one hit and picked up hs first win of the season.
Keystone will resume United East Conference they head to St. Elizabeth University tomorrow, Apr. 19. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m.
