LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College baseball team erased an early six-run deficit to defeat Rosemont College 18-8 Friday afternoon at Christy Mathewson Field.
Keystone improves to 25-11 (14-2 United East Skye Division) while Rosemont falls to 11-24 (8-8 United East Skye Division).
Griffin Yastremski (Bath, N.Y./Haverling) went 3-for-5 with four RBI as he had an RBI single, two-RBI double, and a solo home run. Darren Hagan (Aston, Pa./Garnet Valley) went 3-for-4 with two RBI. Jacob Yager (Grahamsville, N.Y./Tri-Valley) had two hits with 3 runs batted in. Robert Estrada (Maracay, Venezuela/Ferris) and Miguel Silfa (Santo Domingo, D.R./Passaic Tech Institute) each had two hits with one RBI.
Drew Sorrentino (Schnecksville, Pa./Parkland) got the start and tossed three innings with six strikeouts. Aidan Pawlak (Brooklyn, N.Y./Millennium Brooklyn) pitched the rest of the game in relief and got the win as he allowed one earned run and punched out five batters.
The Ravens jumped out to a 7-1 lead after three innings. The Giants offense came to life as they outscored Rosemont 17-1 throughout the rest of the game.
Keystone wraps up their series at Rosemont tomorrow afternoon with a doubleheader beginning at 12 p.m.
