LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College men's lacrosse team fell in their regular season finale 23-9 to Penn College Saturday afternoon at the Keystone College Turf Field.
Keystone ends the regular season at 6-9 (3-2 United East). Penn College moves to 9-8 (4-1 United East).
Cam Wallace (Okotoks, Alberta, Canada/Foothills Composite) added four goals and two assists. Ryan Smith (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South) scored twice and added three assists. Abe Wallace (Okotoks, Alberta, Canada/Foothills Composite) added two goals while Austin Griffiths (Ponoka, Alberta, Canada/Ponoka Secondary Campus) scored once. Defensively, Tyler Shertzer (Palmyra, Pa./Palmyra Area) and Ethan Urbanski (Huntsville, Ontario, Canada/Huntsville) combined for eight caused turnovers. Nollan Hoffert (Simpsonville, S.C./J.L. Mann) and Jose Luis Servin (Manassas City, Va./Osbourn) both appeared in goal with Servin recording 17 saves.
For the visiting Wildcats, Aidan McFalls scored six times and dished out two assists. Jake Small had four goals and four assists. AJ Dotson recorded a game high seven assists.
Penn College outshot Keystone, 63-30. In addition, they also won the ground ball battle, 55-37. The Giants were 50 percent (13-of-26) on clear attempts.
Keystone will now gear up for the United East Conference Tournament as they clinched the three seed in the tournament. They will head to Penn College next Tuesday, Apr. 30 for the conference semifinals.
