Richner Tabbed Interim Head Women’s Soccer Coach

LA PLUME, Pa.- Keystone College Director of Athletics, Kacy Manning, has tabbed Hayden Richner '20 as the Interim Head Women's Soccer Coach announced Tuesday afternoon.  
"It is with great thanks to the athletic department and community who have stayed true to the blue and orange during turbulent times. With the opportunity, I am excited to put forth high standards and young energy to a team most deserving," Richner stated. 
This summer, Richner was a coach for Keystone Soccer Camps alongside Keystone staff teaching fundamentals of soccer and organizing games and drills for over 50 children. 
Richner served as a coach for Beyond Sports from 2017-2019, an organization that promotes mutually-beneficial opportunities for US student-athletes, international athletes, and international youth to enjoy a life-changing cross-cultural experience through sport. Richner had the opportunity to travel to Spain, Italy, and Costa Rica helping Beyond Sports with running soccer clinics, conducting drills, and assisted with Special Olympics in Costa Rica.  
Richner played for the Giants from 2016-2019 starting in 61 career matches, scoring 28 goals with 22 assists. Richner was a Second Team-All CSAC selection in 2016, Honorable Mention All-CSAC in 2017, and First Team All-CSAC in 2018 & 2019. In addition, Richner was named to the CSAC Fall All-Academic Team in 2016-2019.  
Richner graduated from Keystone in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in public health. Richner later earned master's degrees from Marymount University in business administration and healthcare management.  
"Hayden brings tremendous energy and soccer knowledge to the women's team," Manning said. "We are grateful to have someone with a passion for the Keystone women's soccer team to lead us through this season."
