LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College men's soccer team picked up their first win of the 2024 season as they defeated the University of Pitt.-Bradford 5-0 Sunday afternoon at the Keystone College Turf Field.
Keystone improves to 1-1 while Pitt.-Bradford drops to 0-1.
Hernan Godoy (Bernardsville, N.J./Bernards) scored two goals off free kicks in the 4th and 87th minute, respectively. Leo Arrieta (Miami, Fla./Miami Killian) tallied a penalty shot goal in the 52nd minute. Clay Nickles (Benton, Pa./Benton) and Morade Mama (Jersey City, N.J./Hudson Catholic) each tallied a second half goal. Nickles and Aidan Albertson (Sierra Vista, Ariz./Buena) both had an assist.
Freshmen goalkeepers Landon Keller (Provo, Utah/Timpview) and Hector Oliva (Montgomery Village, Md./Watkins Mill) appeared in goal for the Giants and combined for three saves.
Keystone outshot Pitt.-Bradford 21-7 and had a 5-1 advantage on corner kicks. Two yellow cards were given in this afternoon's contest.
The Giants will head to Marywood University on Wednesday, Sept. 4 for a 7 p.m. primetime showdown with the Pacers.
