LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College women's volleyball team took down Penn State Schuylkill in straight sets 3-0 Thursday evening.
The Giants won 25-13 in the first set followed by 25-18 in the second and third set.
Keystone moves to 12-2 while Penn State Schuylkill falls to 2-8.
Kameryn Cortinas (Los Banos, Calif./Pacheco) posted seven kills, five service aces, and two blocks (one solo & one assist). Elise Burk (Paw Paw, Mich./Paw Paw) and Kaliyah Brown (Maricopa, Ariz./Sequoia Pathway Academy) both had six kills. Burk and Tobi West (Hoopeston, Ill./Hoopeston Area) combined for 26 assists. Catie Woolf (Fremont, Ohio/Saint Joseph Central Catholic) recorded a game high digs while Hailey Herneisey (Middletown, Pa./Middletown Area) and Bella Brienza (Fredericksburg, Va./Stafford) chipped in with 13 and 11 digs, respectively.
For the visiting Nittany Lions, Maddy Robinson posted a match high five kills and 12 digs.
The Giants open United East Conference play next Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 7 p.m. against Penn State Berks.
