LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College football dropped their final nonconference game of the season at home with a 52-9 loss to Hobart College Saturday afternoon at the Keystone College Turf Field.
The Giants fall to 1-3 with Hobart improving to 3-1.
Donald Leach III (Harrisburg, Pa./Susquehanna Township) threw for 142 yards and three interceptions. Mujaheed Muhammad (Philadelphia, Pa./Paul Robeson) rushed for 66 yards. Wide receivers Jorden Cook (New Paltz, N.Y./New Paltz) and Stephen Tatum (Baltimore, Md./Edmundson) combined for 77 receiving yards.
On the defensive side, Devin Montgomery (Waldorf, Md./Potomac) and Isaiah Jones (Pennsauken, N.J./Pennsauken) both recorded six tackles. The star for Keystone was kicker Jeremiah Ortiz (Scranton, Pa./Scranton) who made three field goals from 35 yards twice and 20 yards.
For the visiting Statemen, quarterback Johnny Colombi had a big day as he had 268 yards passing with four touchdowns. Johnny Harding tallied 109 receiving yards with two scores. The Hobart defense forced three turnovers as Corey Rock snagged two interceptions with one of them being a pick-six. Ryan Van Tassle also contributed with a pick.
The Giants remain home to open Landmark Conference play next Saturday, Oct. 5 verus Moravian University for Keystones' homecoming game. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
