Women’s Basketball Tops Penn State Brandywine

MEDIA, Pa.- The Keystone College women's basketball team pulled away with a 65-56 win against Penn State Brandywine Saturday afternoon.

Keystone moves to 11-6 (5-3 United East) with the win today.

Kamryn Alers (Scranton, Pa./Scranton) led the Giants with 14 points and five rebounds. Iysis Nickens (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) scored 13 points with seven rebounds and four assists. Anyah Ortiz (Reading, Pa./Governor Mifflin) recorded a double-double as the sophomore finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Ginger Kerdock (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) added 10 points while Madison Reeves (Somerset, N.J./Immaculata) and Malaysia Bryant (Harlem, N.Y./Thurgood Marshall) had eight.

The Nittany Lions had three players in double figures as Anaiyah Allen had 16 points with four rebounds. Kiara Koger compiled 14 points with six rebounds and five steals. Jazmyn Kemp notched a double-double with 10 points and 14 rebounds.

The Giants shot 41 percent (21-of-51) from the field and posted a 44-36 advantage on rebounds.

Keystone remains on the road as they face Penn State Harrisburg on Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 5 p.m.
