LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College men's basketball team used a monster first half to propel themselves to an 81-69 win over Rosemont College Saturday afternoon in their Second Annual Coaches vs. Cancer Game.
Keystone moves to 9-8 (7-3 United East).
Both Daryl Coleman (Allentown, Pa./Southern Lehigh) and Boston Caldwell (Auckland, New Zealand/Westlake) scored 21 points in the victory. Coleman shot 56 percent from the field and was a perfect 9—of-9 from the charity stripe. He grabbed six rebounds and recorded two steals in the win. D'Andre Sutherland (Miramar, Fla./West Broward) and Brandon Scott (Cheltenham, Pa./Cheltenham) combined for 15 points and 10 rebounds.
For Rosemont, Bruce Black tallied a game-high 22 points. Zaki Gomez scored 12 points with four rebounds. DeJaun Taylor dropped 10 points with seven rebounds.
The Giants heavily outscored the Ravens in the first half as they compiled 52 points. The team posted a field goal percentage of 42 percent (30-of-71) and was 94 percent (15-of-16) from the free throw line.
Keystone will now prepare for a three-game road strip which starts on Tuesday, Jan. 28 at 8 p.m. against Saint Elizabeth University.
