PHOENIXVILLE, Pa.- The Keystone College men's basketball team suffered a road setback to the University of Valley Forge 75-72 Thursday evening.
Keystone drops to 10-9 overall and 8-4 in the United East.
Daryl Coleman (Allentown, Pa./Southern Lehigh) and Pete Laidley (Miramar, Fla./Pembroke Pines Charter) scored 13 points. Coleman had a double-double as he grabbed 15 rebounds to go along with five assists and two blocks. Laidley had seven rebounds and two blocks. Boston Caldwell (Auckland, New Zealand/Westlake) and D'Andre Sutherland (Miramar, Fla./West Broward) combined for 24 points. Brandon Scott (Cheltenham, Pa./Cheltenham) almost secured a double-double with eight points, nine rebounds, and five steals.
For Valley Forge, Isaiah Reece led the squad with 15 points and six rebounds. Christian Renninger dropped 13 points and four assists. Ross Adams and Dashawn Goodine tallied 12 points.
The Giants held a 32-30 after the first half but were outscored 45-40 in the second half. The team posted a 35.9 (23-of-64) shooting percentage from the floor. They had a 45-36 margin on rebounds. There were 16 lead changes that occurred in tonight's game.
Keystone will be off this weekend, but will return to the court to face Penn College on Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 7 p.m.
