WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.- The Keystone College men's basketball team came away with a huge road win as they knocked off Penn College 81-79 at the buzzer Wednesday evening.
Keystone improves to 11-9 (9-4 United East) with the win tonight.
Boston Caldwell (Auckland, New Zealand/Westlake) tallied game high 27 points and six rebounds. Tyler Fox (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Cardinal Gibbons) added 15 points, three rebounds, and three assists off the bench. Daryl Coleman (Allentown, Pa./Southern Lehigh) dropped 13 points, six rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Pete Laidley (Miramar, Fla./Pembroke Pines Charter) was a rebound shy of a double-double as he scored 10 points with nine rebounds.
Gavin Barrett led Penn College with 19 points, six assists, and five rebounds. Livingston Cross collected a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds. DJ Smith III and Donnie Bass Briscoe combined for 24 points.
In the last four seconds of regulation, Fox inbound the ball to Brandon Scott (Cheltenham, Pa./Cheltenham) who quickly passed the ball to Coleman. The junior forward made a few moves past a couple of defenders and sanked the game winning jumper at the horn for the road victory.
Keystone trailed 43-36 after the first half and went on a 45-36 run in the second half to come away with the win. The Giants shot posted a 47.2 (34-of-72) field goal percentage. They were barely outrebounded, 39-38.
The Giants officially wrap up their three-game road trip tonight and will return back to the Gambal Athletic Center to face Notre Dame of Maryland University on Saturday, Feb. 8 at 3:30 p.m.
