LA PLUME, Pa. – Keystone women's basketball lost their first home game of the new year falling behind Penn College 61-54. This loss moves the team's overall record to 8-6 and their conference record to 2-3. Penn College improves to 7-7 overall and 4-1 in the United East.
Keystone's scoring efforts were led by Iysis Nickens (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) who scored 14 points shooting 40 percent from the field, and Tamari Hubbard (Bronx, N.Y./Mott Haven) scoring 12 points after shooting 50 percent from the field. Hubbard also led the Giants with seven rebounds.
Penn College's Gigi Parlante led the way for the Wildcats on both sides of the ball as she put up 21 points on offense and added 20 rebounds to her totals, 14 of which came on defense. Rachel Teats followed behind offensively, scoring 14 points after shooting 50 percent from the field.
On Saturday, the Giants will be on the road for another United East conference matchup against Notre Dame of Maryland University. This game is schedule to tip off at 1:00 P.M.
