LA PLUME, Pa.- Keystone's women's soccer team fell to Cedar Crest College 8–1 Saturday afternoon.
Cedar Crest came out firing in the first half, scoring six goals before the break. Laila Stevenson struck early at 12:32 and added a second at 17:35 (assisted by Avery Kramer). Amiyah Carroll made it 3–0 at 23:35. Lauren Davis then converted on a pass from Carroll (32:20), and Stephanie Macaluso added another just before halftime (34:51). Davis struck again in the 42nd minute to make it 6–0 heading into intermission.
In the second half, the Falcons extended their lead with two more goals from Bella Bozen (56:37 and 62:10) before Keystone got on the board. Victory Frantz (Mifflintown, Pa./Juniata) scored the Giants' lone goal in the 64th minute.
On the stat sheet, Cedar Crest dominated the match. They outshot Keystone 24–6 (19 on goal) and forced 11 saves from Keystone's goalkeeper, Malaysia Bryant (Harlem, N.Y./Thurgood Marshall). Each team recorded one corner kick.
The Giants (0-10-1, 0-5-0 United East) head to Valley Forge on Wednesday.
