Giants’ Offensive Burst Secures 4-2 Win Over Gallaudet

WASHINGTON, D.C.- The Keystone men's soccer team picked up their first conference of the season as they defeated Gallaudet University 4-2 Wednesday afternoon.

Brayan Rodriguez (Keyport, N.J./Keyport) got the scoring started five minutes into the contest as he scored his second goal of the season off an assist from Carter Simmons (San Antonio, Tex./Pieper). The Bison equalized in the 34th minute as Andrew Riebe found the back of the net, assisted by Troy Holcomb.

The Giants were able to gain rhythm as they netted three goals in the second half. Keon Morris (Tobyhanna, Pa./Pocono Mountain West) added an unassisted tally in the 65th minute to put Keystone ahead. Three minutes later, he would provide an assist to Christian Sanders's (St. Louis, Mo./Pocono Mountain West) first collegiate goal.

Mohamed Elsheikh was able to cut into Gallaudet's deficit as he added a tally in the 85th minute off another assist from Holcomb. Leo Arrieta (Miami, Fla./Miami Killian) scored a penalty kick goal with five seconds remaining to finish the scoring for the Giants.

Keystone outshot Gallaudet 22-4 with a 16-3 margin of shots on goal. They had an 11-3 advantage on corner kicks. Kolten McVean (Dickinson, Tex./Dickinson) made one save in the win.

Keystone (3-10-0, 1-4-0 United East) remains on the road as they face the University of Valley Forge tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 p.m.
