PHOENIXVILLE, Pa.- The Keystone College men's soccer team dropped a conference matchup to the University Valley Forge Thursday afternoon by a final score of 1-0.
After a scoreless first half, the Patriots added a late strike as Melvin Madonado found the back of the net in the 75th minute to give his team the lead and win. The Giant attempted to equalize, but they were unable to convert.
Keystone tallied nine shots with five of them being on target while Valley Forge recorded 12 shots with three on target. The Giants held a slight 3-2 advantage on corner kicks. Goalkeeper Kolten McVean (Dickinson, Tex./Dickinson) had two saves in the losing effort.
Keystone (3-11-0, 1-5 United East) returns home to face Notre Dame of Maryland University on Saturday, Oct. 18 at 2 p.m.
