WILKES-BARRE, Pa.- The Keystone College men's basketball team suffered a tough 97-65 loss to Wilkes University Saturday afternoon.
Ahmodrion Jones (Wilmington, Del./Delcastle Tech) led Keystone with 18 points on 7-of-15 shooting and a perfect 4-of-4 from the free-throw line. Josh Brown (Phillipsburg, N.J./Bethlehem Catholic) added 16 points and six rebounds while Jden Golding (Jacksonville, Fla./Clay) contributed 11 points.
Five Colonels finished in double figures as Colin Ackerman recorded 19 points. Jack Aregento tallied a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Eli Becker and Antonio Brittain both scored 12 points and Daniel Santaniello had 10.
The Giants shot 41.9 percent from the field (26‑of-62) and 25 percent from three (4‑of-16). Wilkes shot 49.3 percent from the field and made 11-of -33 three-pointers, with bench players contributing 35 points.
Rebounding and ball control were key issues for the Giants, who were outrebounded 43–32 and committed 14 turnovers, compared to 10 from the Colonels.
Keystone (0-4) heads to SUNY Cobleskill on Tuesday.
