Keystone Men’s Wrestling Competes at Electric City Duals

SCRANTON, Pa.- The Keystone College men's wrestling team competed Sunday morning, at the Electric City Duals hosted by the University of Scranton.

New Jersey City University took home the team championship as they went 5-0 on the day. Scranton finished as the runner-up.

Nero Bono (Southboro, Mass./Assabet Valley) was the star of the show as he claimed four wins on the day at 197 pounds. In the team's first match against Scranton's A Team, he picked up victory by fall (2:17) against Joseph Epright. He later defeated University of Pitt.-Bradford's Gavin Thompson by tech fall at the 6:20 mark.

Bono would add two more wins by fall as he took down Rhojan Monfort of Elmira College at 6:46 and Moulay Charif of Bergen Community College just 40 seconds into that bout.

Codi Bomboy (Montrose, Pa./Elk Lake) had a solid day as well as the senior earned two victories by fall in the 165-pound weight class. Bomboy pinned Peyton Mitchell of Pitt.-Bradford at the two-minute mark followed by Cache Littrell of Elmira at 1:36.

The Giants head to the Scotty Wood Invitational at Muhlenberg College on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 10 a.m.
