LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College women's basketball team concluded 2025 with a 61-35 defeat to Alfred State College in the team's final nonconference game of the season.
Keystone was paced by Tayana Bibbins (Lincoln, Del./Sussex Technical) with 10 points and three steals, while Phaneirra Barnett (Baltimore, Md./Edgewood) recorded nine points and a game-high 12 rebounds. Krista Cortazar (Throop, Pa./Mid Valley) added six points with two made threes, and Hailee Hackett (Carmicahel, Calif./Rio Americano) contributed four rebounds and three assists.
Kirsten Merritt led Alfred State with 12 points, while Taylor Benjamin added 10 points, six rebounds, and four assists. Sarah Somers chipped in eight points and eight rebounds, and Emeline Barton added eight points and nine boards to help Alfred State control a 46–36 rebounding margin.
The Pioneers shot 40.7 percent from the field while holding Keystone to 20.7 percent shooting. Despite periods of defensive energy, Keystone was hampered by 27 turnovers and could not sustain offensive rhythm as Alfred State steadily widened its lead.
The Giants (2-11) head to the University of Valley Forge on Saturday.
